Believe in What You Do

"I wish you could find something so
worthwhile that you deem it worthy of
investing your life with it"
-Extract of A Wish for a Leader-

A few days ago I put myself to the test of becoming a member of AIESEC International once again for the next year.

For those who know it, it is a long, demanding process that sees you through your very best and your not so good moments. You stand along with other bright individuals competing for the opportunity to give, rather than to take.

People that put their dreams and aspirations forward, so that others decide upon them.

A challenging, yet beautiful experience to go through.

"I did not succeed".

How do you feel? - Became the most common question of the following days. And this is my answer:

I feel that beautiful things are waiting for this global youth movement.

I feel optimistic because more than a failure this is the biggest opportunity I have had in my life in the last few years.

I feel free to finish this year in a high of success and open space for the new generation. I feel free to listen to my calling in life and excited because I believe that good people is good people wherever they go and this is something I have deep into my heart.

I feel intrigued by what the future brings and at the same time tempted to aim higher than ever.

I feel blessed for having the opportunity to experience what is to "fail" and to see it come with a smile in my face and hope in my heart. We can't know what success means if we don't know failure.

I feel different because of the way how I manage my emotions.

I feel happy because I have beautiful people in my life.

I feel now my life starts...
-

This is a small thing compared to other things that will come in the future. I know the way we manage these things will define the way we manage bigger things in our lives.

We are not perfect, but understanding that is the first step towards happiness.

"Believe in what you do" was written in a present I got before this process started. That's what I am doing. That's what's in my heart now.
